Week 3 was a much needed bounce back week for us. We got a big win and that is what matters. We got great play out of our receivers and again had big games from our quarterbacks. Brees had an off day but still we were able to get a win. There is no doubt we are stacked at quarterback. Brees, Schaub, Rodgers, and Flacco are averaging 22.333, 20.333, 19.667, and 19.333 respectively with Rodgers and Flacco being the most consistent. Only Peyton Manning is has scored more points with a higher average game. Still of all the other starters this past week end, our two lowest average scoring quarterbacks scored a full point more than Phillip Rivers, the next closest player.

There has been some discussion about our running game which has been lacking to say the least. We are more aware of this than anyone. Yes we are looking for a back and yes we will deal anyone on the team, especially a quarterback. What we need though is a reasonable fit for everyone involved. Trading Drew Brees to Fist Full of Cocksuckers or whatever those douches are called and not getting Adrian Peterson is never going to happen. We wouldn’t allow them to have that kind of fire power to start against us or anyone else. A deal can and will be made though. I think everyone realizes that the Quarterback position will score more points than running back in most cases. Though a trade is sought, it needs to be reasonable. Drew Brees, Matt Schaub, and Peyton Manning all should bring production like Adrian Peterson’s in a trade. We’ll make a move or forge ahead, either way I’m feeling better this week.

Our receivers are another big position for us. We have had excellent production from Vincent Jackson and Greg Jennings, despite the egg he laid in week two. When Wes Welker gets healthy and now that Kevin Walter is healthy, we can fire on all cylinders. Also we have a young and productive Johnny Knox on the roster and that may be the biggest feather in our cap.

We feel good about things right now but we want to feel better. We still have a long season ahead of us but being tied atop the division is nice. We just have to keep this up.

Now if I can put on my owners cap for a moment. Halloween will be here before you know it and our big costume party will be here with it. We have Jenna Haze who will lead our loyal assholes in a slutty hot chick costume contest. Nancy Pelosi will be one of the guest judges and rumor has it that Jenna has enlisted her porn star friends to join in the fun. All the proceeds are for charity so keep the date open on your calendar. Halloween will be a big time this year.
